I understand that turtles must be fed daily year-round. Turtle food is recommended, but most pellet foods typically used for koi and goldfish also work just fine. *I understand that turtles must be fed daily and agree to feed them daily using turtle food or comparable fish pellet food.

Turtles have legs and they love to explore, so fencing or barrier is required to keep them within your designated turtle pond habitat area. *I agree to add fencing or barrier to my dedicated turtle pond habitat to prevent turtle(s) from wandering off.

Pond turtles kept as pets do not require salt, and can actually be hurt by it, as their kidneys cannot process salt water of any concentration. For this reason, you must remove turtles from your pond before treating with salt. * *I understand that salt can be very harmful for aquatic turtles, so I will remove all turtles from my pond during salt treatments.

Southern California Koi Rescue offers three methods for turtle adoption. Which method do you prefer? *I wish to select the turtles I wish to adopt during a scheduled adoption event in Victorville, CA.I wish to allow volunteers to select turtles for me and to adopt these turtles by appointment in Highland, CA.I wish to adopt a mimum of 10 turtles and have volunteers deliver these turtles to my local area. $100 USD donation required.
